William Grant & Sons is an independent, premium spirits company with brands that include Glenfiddich, Grant's, The Balvenie, Tullamore D.E.W., Drambuie, Hendrick's Gin, Sailor Jerry Rum and Monkey Shoulder. A team of over 2,600 people at 48 global locations.
The Problem:
They needed support to hire a leader into a brand new area, someone who could bring new expertise into the business and someone who could drive brand growth through iterative customer exploration, proposition development and commercialisation.

We worked with the Head of Special Projects, Global Insights & Analytics Leader, and also in partnership with the talent acquisition team to co-create the role profile to understand and prioritise the things that mattered most. The priority list was diverse, from consumer experimentation and insights and proposition development, to design thinking and agile frameworks, and digital marketing – often not combined in one role, our job was to ask the right questions, look outside the box and test capability and fit.
